For the love of roses

Hello again readers,

I'm often approached with complements on my style choices. I believe that my style is derived from my experiences as I look through the styles presented to me in my local malls. I often see common trends from my window shopping. I often do not buy the first thing I see. When I go shopping I think about a particular color pallet or theme.

Sometimes I think about what my closet or style is lacking or missing. For example: currently my closet is full of prints of different prints or textures but I feel as though I lack solid colors, knits, and basics, ,especially the color black. However reevaluating my closet is one approach towards identifying my sense of style. I often take into account the color pallet or theme that I want to wear during a season. Last year I wore a lot of lace and vigorously sought out lace themes. This year I want to incorporate the lace from last year with the garden themes I've been experiencing this year.

My valentines out fit

"romantic rose" theme My Valentines outfit
Now that I have given you a taste of my general style choices, I would like to introduce you all to my valentine outfit!
For my out fit my boyfriend took me shopping for the first time in a long time now. He purchased the dress that I intend on wearing. I chose this dress because of its romantic color pallet of reds and pinks.  You might ask yourself why did I pair this outfit with mint green accent colors? Mint green happens to be one of those colors that I want to add to my style repertoire. I also happen to think that being too matchy can overwhelm any well planned out fit, so in order to break up the themes I chose my new fav mint green.

My outfit is composed of:

Rose dress #forever21
Mint shoes #modcloth
80's tape bag #monsoon
Mint flower necklace #charlotterouse
Forest Green tights #target
Hair HL530 "Kate", sensational #wig

I will pair this hair with my romantic rose dress. I am still thinking about this look with the mint bow. What do you all think? Tell me in a comment below

Hanging-out with my girls

Above: outfit for hanging with the girls

the cute but sassy outfit

I have also plotted out my outfit for when I go out to eat with my girls. I try to make tike to hang out with my single lady friends even though I am in a relationship. I like that this outfit is more fun and flirty. I gravitate toward the brighter colors, but as an artist it is difficult to pick a favorite. Pink is on of the more natural girly colors that capture my personality. I am still unsure of my girls night plans, but I like to imagine the scenario of me and three of four girl friends sipping wine and eating fine pastries whilst discussing men in idol banter. Unfortunately most of my friends don't drink alcohol so I most likely will have a tea party and I will spike mine with rum ;) .
top:forever 21 $19.
this look is composed of a rose pink top $19.99 from forever 21 the rose was a steal at $8.50!!! I paired this with my previous purchases of the bright water melon red/ pink shoes I previously purchased for myself from Mod Cloth. I love my 80's mixtape bag. The purse fits my wallet, my phone, and a small stash of cosmetics.

I love to mix fashions from various stores and even various eras. At times I find it takes more than one season to build an amazing outfit. I would like to add to this look with some vintage pearls on a long string with various bracelet accessories.

Until next time keep mixing fashions!
